Digital Home World Summit 2013 Over 650 million households worldwide will have broadband and over 430 million will have a data network by the end of 2013.

Connected home services have seen an influx of support by the pay TV industry and unlikely partnerships have been established across a variety of vertical sectors such as energy, healthcare, education and vehicles. This in turn will see improvements in remote healthcare, communication of all electronic appliances in the household, remote interactive education in distant villages, and traffic safety and congestion communication between vehicles, plus efficiency in access and cross transfer of all media files in the home anytime, anywhere on multiple devices.

Digital Home World Summit 2013 brings together thought-leaders to present and discuss new user interface and content discovery ideas, plus, innovative new platforms and solutions relating to this fast-moving industry.


 

OSGi Community Event 2013

OSGi Community Event 2013 will be co-located with EclipseCon Europe. This years theme, "Tap into the Broader Ecosystem," highlights the unique and rising role OSGi plays in a surprising number of environments.

The OSGi Community Event will help attendees understand how others are using OSGi to compete in their own industries and the event attracts enterprise and embedded software architects, IT decision-makers and software leaders, as well as developers who are using OSGi as the basis for their next-generation IT infrastructure.

The Call For Presentations (CFP) is open until Aug 12 and there is an Early Bird Selection which requires submissions by July 31. Further details about the CFP submission process, the event location, hotel and registration are available from the event home page.
