BSH (Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH) - BSH, Europe's largest white goods manufacturer, presented a full range of built-in and freestanding appliances with networking capabilities at the HomeTech 2002, European's leading household fair. The heart of the system is a service gateway with ProSyst's open, scalable and modular service delivery platform and service packages based on OSGi technology (www.prosyst.com). Serve@Home products follow a simple "plug-&-use" system, where the end-user can easily expand, remotely manage and use the products and services via mobile phone, PDA or computer. The Serve@Home kitchen product line is part of the overall smart home concept. It provides the consumer with secure, convenient and individual residence monitoring and controlling from anywhere. E2-Home - An extensive set of services for energy management, home automation, community services and others, deployed to 180 apartments in Stockholm in 2001, all based on Makewave's OSGi technology. This was the world's first commercial deployment of consumer oriented OSGi service platform-based services. eNeo - The IPbox is the core of the eNeo Connected Home. It is a residential gateway that is installed in the user's home. The functionality of the gateway is two-fold: Firstly, it establishes a broadband connection for external communication with the Internet and service providers. Secondly, it is directly connected to the Home Area Network (HAN) and helps to control the end devices. eNeo Labs' Residential Gateway "IPbox" now includes the Smart Home Edition of ProSyst�s mBedded Server a high-performance, open and modular software platform based on OSGi technology. KT - (www.kt.co.kr) KT, the biggest telecommunication company in Korea, is managing various Fixed and Mobile services such as VoIP, IP-TV, VoD, WiBro, Robot, etc. In such a dynamic service environment, we believe that OSGi technology makes it possible to have new business experiences such as dynamic service delivery, reliable and secure model of remote management, and easy service development. KOSP(KT OSGi Service Platform) is OSGi certified product having highly valuable features for service provider like auto-provisioning (Plug & Play), device management capability, policy based service manageability. Currently, we developed and applied our solution to the home gateway for managed home network service, and we are planning to apply to the robot device. Eventually, KOSP will be evolved to the widely applicable and highly flexible solution. Philips iPronto - Philips revolutionizes control of home cinema and home automation products with iPronto, a wireless home control panel for the connected home. Implementing ProSyst's OSGi-certified service delivery platform, mBedded Server, the awarded iPronto provides consumers with a versatile solution to control home theatre as well as the increasing number of electronic home automation products. The iPronto includes USB connectivity and an MMC/SD card slot for future applications and accessories. Among others, the iPronto features other built-in components that enhance the entertainment experience, like a built-in microphone and stereo speakers that will allow users to listen to MP3s from the Internet through future software upgrades and for future applications such as voice recognition and telephony. Implementing ProSyst's open, modular and scalable service delivery platform, the iPronto has an always-on Internet connection by which new features and software can be sent to the unit on customer request. PLASTIC - (www.ist-plastic.org) PLASTIC will offer software engineering methods, tools and a supporting middleware to assist the development, execution and deployment of robust, dependable and adaptable software services over B3G networks. The core objective of the PLASTIC project is to enable the development and deployment of cost-effective application services, both in terms of development and usage costs. Portus - (www.portus.com.au) Portus is an Australian and Singapore based leading provider of end-to-end solutions for the creation, deployment and delivery of managed electronic services. Portus offers a complete delivery platform, operational infrastructure and the enablement resources required to make electronics services a reality. Portus has chosen the ProSyst OSGi implementation, mBedded Server, for its DIAS advanced services gateway product and uses mPower Remote Manager on the server side. Portus is part of the HomeGenesis consortium that had earlier been awarded project support for trials in the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore's (IDA) Connected Homes project. Raum Computer - (www.raumcomputer.com) RaumComputer AG realizes the vision of the Computer Integrated Building (CIB). The automation software of RaumComputer uses the mBedded Server of ProSyst Software. The Building Automation Product RaumComputer (RC) creates the technological base for Computer-Integrated Buildings. This product does not only break new grounds in respect of content, but also in respect of engineering: On the one hand the function spectrum of the building automation has been enhanced to an open, facility-management-oriented service platform. On the other hand, the building automation is mainly considered a software task, which is solved by using innovative data bank-, PC- and Internet techniques. The automation software integrates ProSyst's OSGi-certified mBedded Server used for the flexible dynamic adaptation of the room constellations on field level. The field level of the RC remains open for the integration of any device and bus-system - an invitation for all manufacturers to turn their products into ones that can interoperate with the RaumComputer. Control engines (User Interfaces) can be a PDA, a PC and mobile respective web-enabled devices, which can access the requested building services. Siemens Belgium - Siemens SHC's Gigaset SX765 WLAN dslSmart Home Gateway, the All-in-one solution for Triple Play Plus incl. internet access, phoning over internet (VoIP) and analog fixed network as well as wireless and wired networking for several PC and smart home applications is built on ProSyst's mBedded Server OSGi software technology. So, the product is based on the OSGi Service Platform specification and enables the network delivery of value-added, managed services and applications. TNO has developed a surveillance system, which keeps an eye on, for example, elderly residents in their own house, using intelligent sensors (a.o. cameras). The system collects the information from various sensors, analyses it and autonomously draws conclusions, which may result in triggering actions of emergency services. The system enables elderly to live longer in their own house. The residential gateway used in each house is built on Makewave's OSGi distribution Knopflerfish. Xanboo XG 1000 (www.xanboo.com) is an innovative service gateway based on ProSyst mbedded Server Professional edition, including the latest R4 certification by the OSGi Alliance. It provides 24/7 serviceability and is low-cost, plug&play and very user-friendly. It provides an intuitive user interface for scheduling automatic backups over local network and allows third party application providers to run their own applications when authorized. Xanboo XG 1000 can also be used with a GSM modem for wireless and mobile applications.
