OSGi Community Event 2012

Save the date for OSGi Community Event 2012, Oct. 23-25, 2012, in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

The Call for Presentations is now open. Submit your proposal by July 6, 2012.

The program will showcase and explore real-world case studies, best practices, and tutorials about OSGi technology. The theme this year is “Reducing Complexity with OSGi” and emphasizes why modularity is important and how OSGi technology is the best way to modularize Java™ programs and enable innovative business solutions.

The OSGi Community Event 2012 will feature OSGi talks, tutorials and panels. It is co-located with EclipseCon Europe 2012 and will share a common registration and speaker submission.

LMS is a commercially supported implementation of Apache ACE (donated to the Apache Foundation by Luminis 2009) with and a number of additional OSS components to:

Handle all (remote) deployment, installation, de-installation of software components;
Deploy OSGi/Java, .NET, C/C++ and Adobe Flex Components.

Where the target may be desktops, mobile devices, enterprise servers, embedded systems or e.g. a dedicated location in the cloud.

The OSGi Alliance now has the OSGi Core Release 5 and OSGi Enterprise Release 5 specifications ready for download. These proposed final draft specifications are made available under the OSGi Distribution and Feedback License.
