Come and join us for the OSGi BOF to meet with your peers, OSGi experts and representatives from the OSGi Alliance to talk about all things OSGi. There will be plenty of opportunity for asking questions, sharing your experiences and learning more about OSGi. There will also be a chance to enter a free prize draw to win “OSGi in Action” or “OSGi in Depth” - thanks to Manning Books for donating these.

We will start the BOF with an update on the latest OSGi specifications and an overview of whats coming up. So this will be a great chance to get right up to date with activity in the OSGi specifications, ask any questions and also share any feedback and suggestions.

We will then have an OSGi Tooling discussion and will have a number of the key people and project leads behind some of the popular OSGi Tooling projects. OSGi Tooling is an area where there has been quite a lot of activity and progress made over the last couple of years. The purpose will be to update you on the latest and greatest capabilities and to let you know whats coming in the near future. But importantly this will also be about getting feedback on things that you think are missing and suggestions and ideas that would you make your development life easier and more productive.

We will close the BOF with an Open Forum where we want to hear from you………for example:

  • Ask any question about OSGi,
  • Raise any particular frustrations or bugbears,
  • Tell us what you like and whats good,
  • Tell us what you don’t like and whats bad,
  • Tell us what you think are barriers to faster adoption.
