OSGi CLOUD WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED

OSGi DevCon 2012 will be taking place in partnership with EclipseCon once again from March 26 to 29, 2012 so mark your calendars.

The conference is building on the success of former years with a few new additions, so watch this space or follow us on Twitter (@OSGiAlliance) to be kept up to date with all the news.

OSGi BOF & OSGi Users Forum DC Metro Meeting - Tues, March 27

The OSGi Alliance is holding an OSGi BOF on Tuesday March 27 from 19.00hrs at the conference. We are pleased the OSGi Users Forum DC Metro will be joining us for this session. We will have a packed schedule which includes the following sessions:

  • Java 8 Modules, OSGi and Jigsaw
  • Subsystems: For those occasions where bundles are just too small...
  • How to simplify OSGi development using OBR
  • A surprise special session

Take the opportunity to join us for the OSGi BOF to meet representatives from the OSGi Alliance, OSGi experts and your peers to talk about all things OSGi.

OSGi Cloud Workshop - Thurs, March 29

A free OSGi Cloud Workshop is being held on Thursday March 29 from 09.00hrs to 13.00hrs at the conference. This is a follow up to the workshop that took place at OSGi DevCon 2010 which led to the creation of RFP133 Download RFP133.

This years workshop will be made up of a number of presentations and an open discussion where we will be looking for feedback and suggestions on the next steps for the OSGi Alliance Cloud activities.

The presentations at the workshop will include:

  • Discovery in the Cloud - David Bosschaert (RedHat)
  • Cloud & OSGi - Looking Beyond the Virtual Machine - Richard Nicholson (Paremus)
  • Embedding Cloud in to your code with JClouds - Adrian Cole (JClouds/Cloudsoft)
  • eBay's view on the Cloud - JC Martin (eBay)
