OSGi Developers Conference

Goal:

To promote the use of OSGi technology among mainstream developers

Introduction

This year, the OSGi will not have an OSGi developer congress because the cost and risk of organizing is too high. Previous years Inventures took the financial risk but they no longer want to do this. The proposal is therefore to minimize the risk by joining an existing conference. The advantages of joining another conference are: lowering financial risk and increasing attractiveness and thus attendees. The disadvantages are the lower control and potentially unwanted association with the partner conference.

Plan

We plan to ask for a recommended track on the EclipseCon 2007 conference and close the week with a separate user conference. The user conference will be paid so it does not cost any money.
