2008 OSGi Community EventCALL FOR SPEAKERS
After a very successful 2007 OSGi Community Event, the OSGi Alliance is pleased to announce the 2008 OSGi Community Event. Hosted by T-Labs, Deutsche Telekom AG, it will take place June 10-11, 2008 in Berlin, Germany. We would like to invite deployers of OSGi technology to present their latest successes and experiences with OSGi deployments in business and research projects. PROGRAMThe 2008 OSGi Community Event will feature a combination of keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions, individual presentations, short talks, and demonstrations. The program will combine business presentations from various industries and technical presentations from developers. Submissions are currently being accepted for both business and technical subjects. The event will promote new and existing deployments of OSGi technology in mobile, enterprise, connected home/health care, vehicle, and other markets. The first day will lean towards business experience reports, and the second day will focus more on the technology itself. All presentations will be given in English.
SUBMITTING YOUR ABSTRACTThe OSGi Alliance is accepting session proposals via the email to . Please include information on the vertical industry upon which your presentation will focus, whether your presentation is more technical or business in nature and your preference of presentation category (demonstration/short talk/long talk). You are more than welcome to submit several distinct proposals. We will be accepting proposals for consideration through April 20, 2008 and notifications of acceptance will begin May 11, 2008. Submitters of accepted long talks will receive a free registration for the OSGi Community Event. SELECTION PROCESSThe program committee will receive all valid proposals and will review them. The choice of a session will be based on the presentation of the session and its value to audience. Submitters will be contacted individually about their session. All decisions taken by the program committee are final. The quality of the proposal is very important and preference will be given to business related content for June 10, and technically focused content for June 11.
