MembersOSGi members are technology innovators who create and promote adoption of the proven and mature OSGi Service Platform to assure interoperability of applications and services based on its component integration platform. The Alliance restructured membership tiers this year, effective November 10, 2011, to promote broader participation in the technical development and evolution of OSGi technology. Member organizations influence the OSGi Service Platform and will leverage new royalty-free intellectual property rights to OSGi specifications in their products and services. Membership in the OSGi Alliance is open to profit/non-profit corporations, government organizations, educational institutions, and any other organization that support OSGi Alliance goals, policies and procedures. The membership of the OSGi Alliance is global. About half of its members are based in Europe, a third are based in North America, and the balance is based in the Asia/Pacific region. OSGi Alliance members include leading service and content providers, infrastructure/network operators, utilities, software developers, gateway suppliers, consumer electronics/device suppliers (wired and wireless) and research institutions.
